How to add an image

This is a placeholder. Open the file how-to-add-an-image.md to see the Markdown behind it. Delete this file and beard.png to remove it.

Put the image file in the notes folder, next to the note's .md file. Then write an exclamation mark, a short description of the image in square brackets, and the file name in round brackets, on its own line:

That line shows the image:

The description is read aloud by screen readers and used by search engines. Use the file name exactly as it is on the server, with no folder in front of it. PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP and SVG all work.
